1. Open Field Explorer
2. Right-Mouse click Parameter Fields
3. Select New
4. Enter Name of the Parameter field such as Date Range
5. Select the parameter Type to match the data field type. See Tip: Browse Data
6. For a date range, select Option: Allow Range Values to True
7. Select OK
Setting Up a Report Parameter 1. Select Report
2. Click on Select Expert
3. Select Record
4. Select New Tab
5. Select field Orders.Order Date to set parameter 6. Select OK
7. Set condition to “is equal to” 8. Go to pull-down menu to select user created parameter field that starts with a “?”. If you do not find the parameter field, the parameter field does not have the same field type as the selected field. Go to the parameter field and change the field type.
9. Select OK to save
10. Select Preview to view or run report
11. Pop-up menu appears for the parameter range 12. Enter Date Range 01/01/2004 to 12/30/2004
